Meet the Noras

Nora Taylor was born on the southside of Chicago but then shortly was whisked away by her parents to the Bay Area of California. They then had a brief stint in Pittsburgh before moving back to the suburbs of Chicago when Nora was 10. After high school Nora set out for the University of Dayton where she was a Communication-Theatre Major. Much to her family’s surprise she was able to get a job working in the Theatre Industry! Her job with The Theatre League had her moving again to New York City where she lived for 3 years taking a few career turns working in retail at Bloomingdales and then for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. When her husband’s job transferred them to London, Nora decided to go back to school and get her Master of Arts in Acting. She studied at the East 15 School right outside of London and it was an amazing experience! Also while in London, she became a mother! She and her husband continued to move around, having babies along the way. New York, Hoboken, NJ, South Bend, IN, The Woodlands, TX and then back to Western Springs, IL where she currently lives (and plans to never leave!) with her husband and four children. When not Podcasting, Nora directs at her kids’ school and the local high school…finally putting that Theater degree to use!

Raised in Scottsdale, Az and spending her summers in Beverly, Nora Westphal currently lives in Western Springs, Il with her husband and 4 children.

She is a mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend, and runner. She likes going out for dinner and monograms on everything. She likes checking her receipt at the grocery store to see how much she saved, and handwritten cards. She likes riding her bubble gum pink beach cruiser and iced tea and country music. She likes sharp #2 pencils and felt tip pens and fresh laundry and stationary. She loves her family her friends watching her children grow diet coke from a fountain running Friday nights old school hip-hop The 4th of July chardonnay manicures candy and summer.

She is grateful to be living the suburban mom life, finds joy in the little things, and is thankful for her mostly uneventful, always special case life!
